Hermoso is a striker who, thanks to her technical skill, can drop back to create play in the midfield. She is a natural leader who possesses a strong left foot and a big aerial presence.

A leader on the Spanish national team, Hermoso played in both the 2015 and 2019 Women's World Cups. At the 2019 tournament, she led Spain to the quarterfinals. She was one of only three players to score against the dominant United States national team in their spectacular run-up to the trophy.
